Alzheimer’s Respite Care Option

Respite Care provides family caregivers with the opportunity to take a much needed rest from the 24 hour responsibility of caring for a loved one with dementia. A short-term stay or respite stay in ActivCare® can take many forms; a month, two weeks, one week, three days a week or a long weekend. The primary goal of respite care is to give the caregiver a break while providing a safe, secure and social environment for their loved one. Advance reservations and an assessment are required prior to an initial respite stay, so call today to find out more about a respite stay at ActivCare® – you’ll be glad you did.

Caregivers often benefit from placement as a result of...

  • The removal of the burdens of 24-hour caregiving duties returns a sense of normalcy to the household and can help improve the lifestyle and health of the primary caregiver.
  • The opportunity to re-establish a healthy relationship with the loved one devoid of tension, anger and conflict.
  • A new-found sense of clarity that returns and assists in making important decisions related to finances and health.
